02 July, 2018 Table Tennis Festival will gather over 1000 participants
On July 14-15, 2018 traditional Table Tennis Festival will be held in Ice Palace "Alau", timed to the City Day. More than 1000 professional sportsmen and amateurs from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan will take part in the competitions.
On July 14 the winners will be determined in team and pair championship, and on July 15 the following categories will compete for the victory: professionals, amateurs, veterans, young men and cadets, athletes with disabilities.
The general management of the competition is carried out by the Department of Culture and Sports of Astana city. The Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the tournament is included "Alau" Ice Palace, Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "Astana" Table Tennis Club and Directorate for Mass Sporting Events.
Playgrounds will be equipped with Donic Waldner Classic 25 and Double Happiness tables for table tennis, approved by the Equipment Committee of the International Table Tennis Federation.
The judges already receive applications from sports and city labor collectives; a separate nomination was formed by athletes with disabilities.

Table Tennis Festival is a summer project of "Alau" Ice Palace mass accessibility program.
The tournament is held from 2014 and during this time managed to win the hearts of thousands of people living not only in Kazakhstan, but also beyond its territory.
The goal of the championship is popularization and development of table tennis in the Republic, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and formation of physical and moral hardening.
Table Tennis Festival Opening Ceremony will be held on July 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. in "Alau". The entrance for the audience is free.
