25 February, 2018 Kazakhstan National team finished the Olympic Games in TOP 30
The National team of Kazakhstan took 28th place in the overall standings of winter Olympiad 2018, reports Vesti.kz.
In the team's assets, one bronze medal won by freestyler Yulia Galysheva. Liechtenstein and Latvia won one bronze also. Above Kazakhstan were countries such as Spain and New Zealand with 2 bronze medals, and also Australia which won 2 silver and 1 bronze medals.
1st place took Norway, which won 39 medals: 14 gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze medals. 2nd became Germany with 31 awards (14+10+7). Canada’s athletes won 31 medals and took 3rd place in overall standings (11+8+10).
Only 30 countries were able to win medals. 2,922 athletes from 92 countries took part in the competition, which won 102 sets of awards in 15 sports.
